The surgical unit is clinician-designed and tailored for day and short-stay surgical cases and covers a range of surgical specialties, including ophthalmology, general surgery, urology, plastic surgery, hand and upper limb orthopaedics, and others. It is scheduled to open in early 2025.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Associated with the Day Surgery Unit and Day Procedure Unit, the surgical ward is a 20-bed surgical recovery unit for overnight and short-stay recovery.\u202f This ward comprises only private rooms, with ensuites and on-ward recovery lounges and dining facilities.
